SOMAX G3 provides all the same the functionality of SOMAX Professional plus many additional features and functions such as:
  • SQL Database
  • Transaction Based Processing
  • Automatic roll-back of failed multi-step transactions (e.g. receipts, consolidation, create order, etc.)
  • Additional Report Writer Support (R&R and Crystal Reports)
  • Configurable User/Group Based Data Access (e.g. only see work orders belonging to me; Create work orders only for the equipment in my department, etc.)
  • Additional Lookup Types (hierarchical lookups, etc.)
  • Enhanced Inactivation Features (deactivate equipment, vendors, edit table entries, and projects, etc.). Allows continued reporting for inactive items without allowing new work to use the inactive items
  • Preventive Maintenance Batch Based Processing (allows the user to generate a PM work order list, then pick which work orders they actually want to create)
  • Preventive Maintenance On-Demand Tasks Groups. This allows PM tasks to be grouped for a specific purpose (e.g. spring outage, summer shutdown, holiday shutdown) and then assigned based on the group. No frequency (calendar or meter) is involved
  • Additional Charge to Types (work orders, part issues, purchase orders and time cards can be charged to equipment, personnel, projects, work orders, or charge accounts)
